Roger was a member of the Tulalip Tribes and lived his life on the reservation. He was a commercial fisherman, logger, and Class-A long-haul trucker. Roger spent many years working for Shelco and for the Tribe in the Building Maintenance, Utilities, and Construction Departments. Upon retirement, he continued to spend time on the water fishing. If he wasn't on the water, Roger was in his shop working on endless projects for himself, his loved ones, and strangers who often became friends. He showed his love for his family through action and quality time. Whether it was fixing a car, a plumbing issue, or removing a giant spider, if you called on Roger, he would be there (eventually). Roger was always ready to debate the latest conspiracy theory, watch a Seahawks game, attend his grandson's basketball games, and share his amazing smoked salmon.
Roger has left a legacy of pride, community, and lessons that will continue on through many generations to come: His children, Amanda Hunter (Chris), Jolene Fryberg (Zachary), Roger Williams Jr (Marissa), Jeremy Jablonski (Deena), Elisabeth Williams, Francis Sheldon (Jasidee), and John Williams.
