Ron was a proud graduate of Marysville Pilchuck High School and went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Navy for four years. Following his military service, he began a lifelong career at Boeing as a dedicated and hardworking machinist.
A true sports enthusiast, Ron was an avid UW Husky football fan, rarely missing a game and always rallying behind his team. He was also a loyal supporter of the Seattle Mariners, Seahawks, and fondly remembered the days of the SuperSonics. As much as he loved watching sports, Ron was also an athlete in his own right. He played baseball and basketball in his younger years, later joining men’s softball and bowling leagues, and enjoyed countless rounds of golf with friends and family during his retirement.
Ron’s passions extended beyond the playing field. He loved fishing, traveling with friends and family, and had a special talent for grilling — particularly known for his perfectly cooked steaks and prime rib. He also took pride in growing the most beautiful, meticulously tended tomatoes.
Ron was preceded in death by his cherished parents, Rudy and Elaine, his special nephew Jay Westlund, and many beloved family members and friends.
He is survived by his loving companion, Arlene, his son Kevin (Kelin), daughter Kelli (Don); and grandchildren Evan, Olivia, Savannah, Izzie and JJ. He is also survived by his brother Dennis (Kathy), and nieces Laurie and Kristie.
Ron’s life was filled with laughter, loyalty, and love — for his family, his friends, and the simple joys of life well lived. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
