After a courageous battle with cancer, Ryan Wilson Gubler, 39, left this earth on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 in Arlington, VA. He was surrounded by immediate family members as he took his last breath. Ryan was born in Provo, Utah on January 12, 1980 to Kenneth Karl and Carol Wilson Gubler. He married Nikiy Churb on March 17, 2005 in the Seattle Temple. They have one child, Madison Gubler. Ryan was the oldest of five children, and leaves behind brothers; Brad, Nick, Garrett, and Eric.

At the age of 19, Ryan served a full-time mission for two years for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He returned home with honor in May 2001. He attended Brigham Young University - Idaho soon after he returned home. While there, he was part of a group of students that traveled to Voronezh, Russia to teach English to elementary school students. He also had the opportunity to travel extensively through parts of Europe. In 2006 Ryan took the opportunity to visit Thailand and Cambodia with his wife and mother-in-law.

Ryan received an undergrad degree from the University of Washington in 2006 and a Juris Doctor from Texas A&M University School of Law in 2016. Ryan will always be remembered for his strong work ethic, compassion, selfless acts of kindness, and love for his family and friends.

Fond memories of Ryan include love for exotic cars, deep passion for traveling, and indulging in different cuisines from around the world. He was not a fan of just sitting around at home. You could say his motto was: "There's always something worthwhile to do; a new place to explore; or someone to serve."
