On Sunday, January 15, 2012 our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and best friend, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She has also been reunited with the love of her life and her best friend, our father, Frank Albin. Sandy was born in Ceylon, Minnesota January 26, 1939 to Gladys (Palmer) and Clarence McIalwain. The family moved to the Seattle area in 1941 and called Ballard their home. Sandy graduated from Ballard and has lived most of her life in the Marysville / Arlington area. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys and Clarence McIalwain; brother, Stanley LeRoy; sisters, Gladys Obrecht and Mickey Cassel; and her loving husband, Frank in 2009. She is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Lindstrom of Sedro Woolley, Wa., Pat Johnson of Marysville, Wa., Charlene Logan (Bob) of Rainier, Wa; and brother, Les McIalwain (Myrna) of Oak Harbor, Wa. She leaves behind sons, Willis Nelms (Leila) of Marysville, Wa., Bill Nelms of Marysville, Wa.; and daughters, Kathy Eaton (Butch) of Auburn Ks, Joyce Cagnon (Roland) of Pascoag, R. I., Mary Ertl (Jim) of Seattle, Wa., Lisa Lutthans (Michael) of Tracy, Ca. and Kim Fisher of Sedro Woolley, Wa. She has 32 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who were blessed by knowing her. A celebration of life Memorial Service will be held at Camano Island Baptist Church on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 2:00p.m. Sandy will be laid to rest on Monday, January 23 at 1:15p.m. in Tahoma National Cemetery, alongside her husband, Frank.
