Teresa Kay Brown

With profound sadness and endless love, we announce the passing of Teresa K. Brown, who peacefully gained her wings on July 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on December 27, 1953, in Arlington, Washington, Teresa was the cherished daughter of Sid Mix and Dorothy "Tutt" Tryon. She has now returned home to be with her loved ones who welcomed her into eternal peace.

Teresa's final resting place will be at Mission Beach Cemetery in Tulalip, Washington.

Teresa was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, treasured sister, aunt, and friend. Above all else, she was a woman whose greatest joy came from her family. She shared 55 beautiful years of marriage with the love of her life and best friend, Richard Brown, building a life rooted in love, loyalty, and unwavering commitment.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Richard Brown; her children, Jodi Brown and Jeffery Brown (Debbie); and the grandchildren who were the light of her life: Cassidy Brandt, Shonti Brown, Mia Brown, and Aiyana Brown. She was also blessed with her great-grandson, Jameson Gambito, who brought her tremendous joy.

She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Cathy Williams, and brother, Stan Tryon (Carla), along with her many nieces and nephews: Chad Alcombrack (Cindy), Tony Hatch (Wendy), Misty Napeahi (Jay), Rachel Tryon Kortendick (Patrick), Melissa Tryon, Jessica Landau (Aaron), Tristan Frank, Anthony Williams, Joseph Quesada (Azucena), Austin Brown (Jaylee), Steven Brown (Britt), Vincent Hatch, and Alan Fenrich (Jennifer). She also leaves behind many great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Teresa was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Georgia Tryon; grandfather, Stubb Tryon; her parents, Sid Mix and Dorothy "Tutt" Tryon; her brother, Glenn Mix; and her cherished grandson, Romelo, who undoubtedly welcomed her home with open arms.

For fourteen years, Teresa faithfully served the students and staff of Lakewood High School as a cook. Though she lived a quiet and private life, those who knew her best understood the depth of her love. She expressed her affection not through grand gestures but through her unwavering presence, gentle heart, and steadfast devotion to those she loved.

Family was the center of Teresa's world. Every gathering, every shared meal, every laugh, and every moment spent with her children and grandchildren filled her heart. Her grandchildren were her greatest pride and joy, giving her life purpose, happiness, and countless reasons to smile. She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, kindness, compassion, and quiet strength that will continue to guide her family for generations to come.

Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort knowing she has been reunited with those who have gone before her. Her love lives on in every story shared, every family gathering, and every life she touched. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
