Terra was born in Sedro-Woolley, Washington on January 26, 1978 to Peggy Maples and Douglas Johnson. Terra is the only child of Peggy Maples, and is the youngest of five siblings on the Johnson side of her family: Robert Johnson (Unity), Mark Johnson (Lisa), Krista Jones (Brad) and Heather Hayden (Matt).
Terra attended school in Arlington, Washington and graduated in 1996. She had a passion for theater and was cast in many plays during her time in high school; Godspell, My Fair Lady, Antigone, Babes in Toyland, Midsummer Night's Dream and several others. She passed this passion to her son, Aidan, who also was cast in many high school plays and graduated from WU with a BA in Theatre Arts. She made many life-long friends during her school years and they were frequent, much-loved visitors in our home.
Terra worked for Snohomish County government for 10 years and also made many dear and lasting friendships there. After working for the County and staying home to raise children for several years, she received her Associate of Arts Degree from Skagit Valley Community College in 2019.
The impact Terra had on people in her life cannot be overstated. She loved fiercely and absolutely. No one with a hurt or troubled heart escaped her attention and care.
Her unapparelled joy was her two children, Aidan (25 years) and Kaia (18 years). These bright, beautiful, talented people are a reflection of their mother's intelligence, wit, humor, kindness and empathy.
Terra is survived by her parents, Peggy Maples and Douglas Johnson (Donna), her siblings, beloved aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
We will be saying goodbye to Terra at 2:00 p.m. on December 19, 2025 at Pioneer Hall in Arlington, Washington, where we will have many memories to share and treasure.
