

Tyler James Reside 18, passed away in his sleep on September 26, 2010. He was born on March 18, 1992 in Great Falls, MT to James Reside and Tammy Scott. His home was in Lake Stevens where he recently graduated with the Lake Stevens High School Class of 2010.
Tyler was a very kindhearted young man who got along with everyone. He could light up a room by just walking through the door and smiling that smile that we all remember and love. Tyler deeply loved his family and his many friends. He spent his short life enjoying both as much as possible. He took great pride in being a varsity football player for the Lake Stevens Vikings as well as being a varsity sprinter for the track team. He loved his teammates and coaches like they were his family and treasured every accomplishment and recognition. Tyler was in the process of enlisting in the U.S. Navy as a Navy Diver at the time of his passing.
He is survived by his father James Reside with step-mom Sandy Massie-Reside and his mother Tammy Scott with step-mom Michelle Bacon; sister Kelsey Reside; brothers Dane Massie, Brandon Massie, Cameron Bacon and Stefan Massie; maternal grandparents Richard Scott, Sondra and Edward “Pops” Cooper; paternal grandparents Jeanette and Jon Gram, Pat and Roxanne Finn and Ed and Tatsiko Goodman; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whose families took Tyler in as if he were their own. Tyler is also survived by his very special companion who brought much joy to his life, Alexa Miller.
The family will receive friends for the viewing on Saturday October 2nd from 10 am to 2 pm at the Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home in Marysville at 804 State Ave. A memorial service will follow at 4 pm at Lake Stevens High School in the Performing Arts Center.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Chase Bank in Lake Stevens where a Sports Scholarship account is being set up in Tyler’s name. Tyler loved participating in sports and his family would love to pass that on to other athletes.
