

He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathryn Bryant; father, Claude Quam Jr.; and infant sister, Kelly Quam.
He attended Cascade High School and Highline Community College, receiving his Associates Degree where he bacame an underwater welder. He joined the US Army in 1966, serving time in the Vietnam War. He was very proud to be an American and of his military service.
He helped hundreds of people recover from drugs and alcohol. Warren was selfless. Friends and family could count on him no matter what, in good times as well as bad. Although he was known as a "tough guy" he had a heart of gold.
He loved riding his Harley, taking trips through the Rockies to visit relatives in Alberta, Canada or just cruising in the mountains, being close to nature. He was an avid welder and planned on making picture tile tables at his new home in Lake Stevens.
He had an undying love for his family and was so proud of his children and grandchildren; they were his everything. He leaves behind his loving children, Rainbow Quam (Mike), Robyn Quam, Ryan Quam (Jacquelyn), Rosanne Whitt (Les), and Angela Gregg; sister, Linda Quam Davis (Don); and longtime companion, Mellinda Cribbs; his precious grandchildren, Nathan James, Payton Quam, Reilly Power, Taylor Whitt and Bailee Burch; along with his nieces, Julie VanTassell (Brandon), Lori Henderson (Justin); and nephew, Ricky Henderson (DK).
We will never forget Warren's kindness or his love of life but, most of all the love he had for his family and friends. We will miss him greatly.
Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, 804 State Ave., Marysville, WA. Viewing will be from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
