

Nonie was born on December 3, 1927 in Aberdeen, Washington to Glen and Edith Parks. She lived on the Tulalip Indian Reservation her entire life. Nonie graduated from Marysville High and attended Everett Community College with a 4.0, becoming a licensed practical nurse. She was employed at Providence Hospital and also worked for Tulalip Tribes as the Community Health Representative for 16 years. Nonie was a beautiful, loving and kind lady who brought forgiveness and unconditional love. She was known for her heart of gold, for her family and the entire Tulalip Community—and she wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty.
She is survived by her brother Glen Parks Jr. (Lee). Her children Valda Gobin (Herb), Helen Gobin-Henson (Dave), Billy Gobin (Teri), Debra Posey (Dean), Rhonda Gobin (Gerald), John Dumont Cooper (Candy) and Porter Cooper (Pinky). Grandchildren: Crystal Gobin (special granddaughter), Brodie Stevens, Dana Posey, Becky Posey, Bow Gobin, Mario Marchesi, Ryan Gobin, Toneena Gobin, Rick Orr, Chad Orr, John Dumont Jr, Morgan Moe Bryant, Jodie Villarreal, Bernadeen Madison, Chelsea Martinez, Edith E. J. Nagle, Desiree Dumont, Bobbi Keeline-Young, Douglas Boon, Dennis Boon, Scott Keeline, Joel Keeline, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Edith (Perceval) Parks and Glen Parks Sr, sisters Thelma Parks and Phyllis (Parks) Willoughby, and her son, Joseph Gobin, her grandchildren Billy John Gobin, and Teddy Shane Orr.
Visitation Thursday at 12:00 – 2 PM at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home. Interfaith Service at 6 PM at the Tulalip Tribal Gym. Funeral Service Friday at 10 AM at the Tulalip Tribal Gym. Interment at Mission Beach Cemetery.
