Carolyn Carlino, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on January 16, 2025, at the age of 82. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, to Arthur and Carmela Forte, and later made a life with her loving husband, Jack.
Carolyn was a devoted wife to Jack and a cherished mother to Lisa Howard, married to John, and John Carlino, married to Louisa. She was a proud and adoring Nana to her grandchildren, Keith Howard, Jack Carlino, Joey Carlino, John Carlino, and James Carlino. Carolyn’s love for her family knew no bounds, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
She is also survived by her sister, Madeline Mahlan, and brother, Arthur Forte.
Carolyn had many passions in life. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, always making time to share laughter and stories. She was an avid fan of theater and loved to attend performances when she could. Additionally, she found joy in the arts of knitting and crochet, using her talents to create beautiful pieces, including infant hats she lovingly donated to the NICU.
Her kind spirit, gentle nature, and devotion to those she loved will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at James Funeral Home, 540 Broadway, Massapequa, NY 11758. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 9:45 AM at Maria Regina Roman Catholic Church, Jerusalem Avenue, Seaford, NY. Following the Mass, a private cremation will take place.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the NICU in Carolyn's memory.
Carolyn’s warmth and love will remain in our hearts forever. May she rest in peace.
