

Catherine "Kitty" E. Chiocchi, age 83, passed away on September 23, 2025. Residing in Massapequa, New York, Kitty lived as a beloved and cherished presence in the community. Known for being both compassionate and thoughtful, Kitty’s impact on those around her was testament to her selfless and generous nature.
Kitty bravely devoted many decades of her life to her work as a school crossing guard in the Nassau County 7th Precinct. She was honest, hard-working, and took great pride in her service to the community, relishing the opportunity to engage with neighbors and ensure the safety of local children.
Marriage brought Kitty together with her beloved husband, Anthony, with whom she shared a deep and devotional relationship. Kitty now joins him for eternity at Calverton National Cemetery. As a devoted and faithful mother, Kitty leaves behind her treasured family: Lisa (Marc) Miller, Bobby, and Gina (Anthony) DiCocco. Her legacy of love and compassion further encompasses her role as a grandmother, warmly remembered by Brandon, Anthony, and Ryan.
Services to celebrate Kitty’s incredible life have been organized: there will be a visitation on September 28, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at James Funeral Home, located at 540 Broadway, Massapequa, NY 11758. A religious service will follow on September 29, 2025, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at St. William the Abbot RC Church, 2000 Jackson Ave, Seaford, NY 11783. The interment will be held the same day from 11:45 am to 12:30 pm at Calverton National Cemetery in Wading River, NY 11792.
