Chris enjoyed his life of music, fun and family. He was very much loved by all who knew him. It is very difficult to say "Goodbye", but the promise of Jesus, states, "Just as the FATHER raised him from the dead, and made him alive, so too the SON makes alive. (John 5:21) So, may all reflect on this promise to receive comfort, and peace by not saying "Goodbye", but saying to Chris "We'll rock again later." Psalms 82:1-3

Chris loved his car. My first friend and co worker at Edwards. We hanged out so many times... he always said baba boi, or something like that. I am so sad that he is not with his loved ones anymore. There aren’t many people like him. I will miss you Christopher.

One of my many memories.....
August 2, 1998: I can recall the quote but I don’t remember who said it...
”Man, who was that dude, who kinda looked like Jesus Christ, tearing-up the dance floor at your wedding?!?”
“That was my friend’s little brother, Chris”

It was around this time that I really started to see Chris for the cool, young man he was morphing into. No longer playing the role of quintessential “little brother”, pestering his big brother and his friends because he just wanted to be part of what was going on. We were now seeing the emergence of the man who didn’t really care if others thought what he was doing or what he was wearing or how he had his hair styled was cool or not. It’s what he wanted to do, so he did it.

Today is bittersweet. I wanted to express my conflicted heart as the wake for my friend commences today...but yet the world still keeps turning, even though it seems to stand still for many who are honoring his life.
Our lives are indeed short. I want to always remember my friend Chris the way I used to, when we were growing up, finding ourselves, and unknowingly helping to shape who we were to become.
My mind is in disbelief, but knowing what I know about heaven, I just know for certain, I'll see him again. We all will.
We never really think about what we're doing in the moment, or even how we will be remembered when it comes time for us to go. But things come into perspective when someone we love leaves us before we're ready to say goodbye.
Though there are many unanswered questions and lots of wonder, I pray for peace and clarity in all this, especially for those closest to him, for those who were lucky enough to be a witness to his life. Those are the ones who will be able to give a testimony to the kind of person he was and how he affected everyone he knew.
To the Tampone family, my heart is with you. To Tommy and Doug. I wish to hug you so much today. To his loved ones, my truest and deepest condolences.
Even though he is not physically present with us, I just know that his legacy will never be forgotten.
May God bless us all and may you rest in heaven eternal, my friend Chris.
