Dorothea was the beloved wife of the late Ralph Montuori, with whom she shared 37 years of marriage. A devoted homemaker, she gave her days to the steady, loving work of caring for her family, and she will be remembered as a dedicated mother and grandmother whose presence anchored those she loved most.
Her Catholic faith was a guiding strength throughout her life, and she was devoted to Maria Regina R.C. Church, where her commitment reflected a life lived with reverence and quiet constancy.
Dorothea also found joy in the patient artistry of ceramics and embroidery, and in the companionship and tradition of Mah Jong—pastimes that mirrored her careful hands, attentive spirit, and appreciation for time shared with others.
She is survived by her children, Marc Montuori (Jennifer) and Michele Sena (Thomas); her grandchildren, Skylar, Rylie, and Hadley; and her sister, Frances Marsiello.
Visitation will be held at James Funeral Home, 540 Broadway, Massapequa, NY 11758, on October 15, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Maria Regina Roman Catholic Church, 3945 Jerusalem Ave, Seaford, NY 11783, on October 16, 2026, from 9:45 am to 10:45 am.
Burial will follow at St. Charles / Resurrection Cemeteries, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735, on October 16, 2026, from 11:15 am to 11:45 am.
