Eddie, this St. Patrick's day made me miss you even more.  We exchanged  silly cards and I always got a phone call from you with an Irish joke.  Noreen gave me your Irish fisherman's sweater last week which I will wear and treasure.  We visited the place where you are now at peace.
   I remember the toast you always made; "Here's lookin' at ya, kid!"   You have left your mark in our hearts.  Love, Joan

Hi Hon,
It was 39 years ago today, St. Patrick's Day, that we met at M&O's. Who knew when you came up to me and asked me to go to the Policemens' Ball that it would lead to a lifetime together. But, we were meant to meet. Why else would you have made an arrest and gotten the night off, and why else would I have gone there to see a friend from work? That day became one of the few really great days of my life!
Now my days are very different. I miss you so much. My heart is broken. I have the kids and some very good friends, but life is meaningless without you. It's hard to believe that with you my Irish eyes were smiling, but without you my eyes are always filled with tears.
I go and visit you a few times a week, and feel a little better while I'm with you. But when I leave to go home, I get an actual pain in my heart, because you aren't physically here anymore. You will always be the love of my life, though, and you will remain in my heart forever.
I love you, Ed. I miss you, and I am looking forward to the day that I'll see you again.

Hey Ed, I still remember the time Mary,Joe,Diane and myself would be sitting having coffee and you started sitting across from us at the 2 person table sharing the crossword puzzles and dueling one liners with Diane. Those were like the best mornings ever. Then having you sitting at the table with us and sharing stories and jokes,,none of us ever wanted to go to work.We had so many good times and laughs.Even at "night at the races" at Maria Regina we all sat at the table and Fr Peter would join us. You were in your glory because we always got the food first ;) The New Years Eve party was good too.

Dear Uncle Ed,
You are such a card.....so many one liners, it seemed you were just waiting for the perfect moment to zap someone with you "no pun intended",comebacks....How many times did you tell me that I had the map of Ireland plastered on my face...I wish 
I had the wit to come back with some thing funny, but that is a true talent... You were so supportive of  Mark ,me and your grand nephew Luka...
We will continue to spend as much time as possible with Noreen, Kathleen, John and Keith, and love your new granddaughter as the newest lass to bring joy, happiness and new life to this world..  You are missed and will always be with us.

Ed..your are truly missed by the staff at Whitey's Hardware.  We were always touched by your quite way and dry humor.  Never a bad word about anyone. It was always fun when you left your radio and manpower list in our bathroom and we would have to run after you to give it back.  We remember one day when Deryk replaced the list with his own ordering list..with things like Mr. Clean, bleach, ammonia and other items that he ordered regularly for the store.  When you did roll call you were livered for a second and then enjoyed the fun and friendship of it all.  Although you are not with us...the memories are treasures that we all enjoy often.
