Frances Morelli was born on October 13, 1923 in Jersey City, NJ. Her given name was Speranza (Hope). When she came of age she changed it legally to Frances. Her husband Frank Morelli Sr. died on April 11, 2005. They were married for more than 59 years. She lived in the same house in Massapequa, LI for more than 60 years, until it became necessary for her to move to an assisted living facility. She leaves two devoted sons, Richard and Frank and their loving wives Eileen and Bethany, as well as five grand children: Christina, Michael, Jeffrey, Anthony and Elizabeth and the newest addition, great grandchild Easton Michael Morelli. She was the second of five children: first came Larry, and after her came Jerry, Loretta and Vinny. Her parents Giuseppi Calemmo and Anna Quarato had immigrated from Altamura in Bari, Italy. She is also survived by her loving sister, Loretta DeGrande and Nancy Calemmo, widow of Jerry Calemmo., and leaves many nieces and nephews as well as their offspring.
After staying at home to care for her sons when they were young, Frances worked as a seamstress and for a time owned and operated Fran's Luncheonette in Bellmore, LI. She enjoyed her home and family most of all.
