

Born and raised in Brooklyn, she lived most of her life in Massapequa with Pierre, her devoted husband of 61 years. She is survived by her son Pierre, daughter Tara, sister Lorraine, niece Marissa, nephew David, and two grandnephews Keanu and Noah.
While raising her family, she worked at Amityville High School, supporting the school nurse. She also worked at Nassau Community College, supporting the chairman of the Reading and Basic Education Department. She enjoyed supporting the professors and interacting with the college students.
She loved to entertain friends in her home, garden, collect porcelain dolls, and spend time with her family and sweet poodle, Gia.
A visitation for Joan will be held Monday, August 21, 2023 from 2:30 to 6:30 PM at James Funeral Home, 540 Broadway, Massapequa, NY 11758.
A funeral mass for Joan will be held at Maria Regina R.C.C on Tuesday, August 22 at 10:45 AM. Maria Regina Roman Catholic Church, 3945 Jerusalem Avenue, Seaford, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice of Long Island (www.chsli.org), St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the charity of your choice.
