Uncle John was a great guy, he will be missed. For those that do not know, we lived next-door to my Aunt Tess, Uncle John, and cousins Nancy, Barbara, and Johnny, throughout our entire childhood, as one big family. I recall so many great memories, during the holidays and everyday; we would always walk across each other’s lawn back-and-forth to visit, check-in and say hi. A couple of fond memories that come to mind: I would be home and would smell something cooking from within my house coming from next door, and would coincidently visit at the perfect time the food was ready, to taste Uncle John’s latest new recipe or a quick meatball off the stove on Sunday mornings, as a first round, since my Mom made her meatballs a little later on Sundays, for the second round.
Uncle John was admired by many especially my sons who took pride that their own Uncle drove them to school on the bus ( door to door) when he did bus driving during his retirement, also Uncle John was always interested and asked my sons how they were doing in baseball, that always made them feel good too.

Uncle John was a very loving man, he loved his family, Nieces and nephews, Grandchildren.. and loved life. He was a great dad, exemplified by his own children’s kind and loving character... They don’t make them like that anymore...

God bless you Uncle John, and may God watch over you and your entire family during this difficult times of sadness.
Love; Peter, Emilia, Peter John & Chris Caravousanos

Uncle John, you will always be remembered. I can't count the fond memories I have of spending time with all of you, year after year.

You had the patience of Biblical Job when "Dennis the Menace" crashed into West Babylon every summer. We laughed about it last year when we spoke. Everything from tying-up a boating dock for hours to botched food orders and endless trips and falls, you beared patiently and kindly, never losing your cool or raising your voice. None of this have I ever forgotten.

Always loved, always missed!

Wish we could be with you all at this very sad time, but our thoughts are with you. My memory is of very special family holidays on Long Island, where we would get together again with all our family....happy days. much love, Gilly, Gaia, Checho and Alex.

Such a sad time loosing a family member. I have been lucky to have lived next to my uncle for most of my younger days. The memories I have from that time and of current will remain with me forever. I am so sorry for our families loss, but I will remember Uncle John for all those wonderful times. He is now with those who have gone before us. Truly love my family and miss the ones we don’t see as often. RIP Uncle, from your nephew Ferdinand Caravousanos

I just loved how much John joked and laughed at Thanksgiving dinner started Nancy’s house. He was always quick witted and the life of the party.

Uncle John was my godfather and I remember always feeling so loved when around him as a kid. Success should always be measured in the love you give and receive and by that measure, Uncle John was one of the most successful. My thoughts and Roland's thoughts are with Aunt Tess and my cousins. We wish we could give you all a big hug.
