John L Montovano was born to John and Philomena in Brooklyn, NY, on April 10th, 1947, and died in Queens, NY, on November 24th, 2022. John was a devoted husband to his wife of 54 years, Joann, and a loving father to his two children, John and Erik. He was a proud grandfather to his two grandchildren, Francesca and Antonio. John was the youngest brother of sisters Dolores and Theresa.
John worked as an insurance consultant for Prudential for over 30 years. He was a muscle car enthusiast who spent many years racing in the streets and drag strip with his friend Mike. He was a creative soul with an artistic affinity for painting and woodwork. Later in life, he enjoyed practicing tai chi, cooking, and painting. John was a kind and gentle soul who lived with devotion and humor; he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Family request that all guest please wear a mask when visiting at the funeral home.
