Luis was born on January 3, 1931 along with his identical twin Carlos Alberto Caso. Luis was a devout Catholic and entered the the Passionist Father’s Seminary for 2 years until he decided to follow his heart to his true love Irma in New York in 1956. Irma and Luis were married on April 1, 1956 at St. Paul the Apostle In NYC and honeymooned at the United Nations. Luis worked for many years for the Optical Union and several years for the Jewelry Worker’s Union in NYC. Through his retirement years, Luis worked at helping people all around the world through the Lion’s Club Sunnyside Suramericano in Sunnyside Queens which he helped found and presided over for many years. Luis also was a Eucharistic minister at his home parish St. Rose of Lima and volunteered at Mercy Soup kitchen in Wyandanch. Luis always enjoyed bar tending, cooking (the best empanadas, bread pudding and French toast) and entertaining. Luis and his family lived for 22 years in Rosedale, Queens and then 33 years in Massapequa Park. Luis is preceded in death by his father Alejandro Caso (Casserta, Italy), his mother Clara Caso (Argentina), his older brother Miguel (Argentina); and survived by his older brother Jorge (Argentina), his twin Carlos Caso, his loving wife Irma, daughters Elizabeth (Michael) Ruppenthal, Claudia (Richard) Gross, grandchildren Christopher, Lauren, Kevin, Alexa & Julia.
