On February 12, 2025, Marie J. Lanzillotta, beloved by all who knew her, passed away. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rudolf V. Lanzillotta, and leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and community.
Marie was a devoted mother to Laura Lanzillotta, Ronald (Nikkilyn), Steven (Maria), Rudolf Jr.(Rosalba), and Gina Marie Lanzillotta-Fenton, and her role as a Nana was cherished by Thomas (Elizabeth), David (April), Nicholas (Amanda), Marie, Myles, Tiffany, Nicole (Paul), Ronald Jr.(Lauren), Daniella (John), Cristina, Rudolf III (KC), Alexa, Malina, Sofia, Gianna (Paul), and AJ (Ava). Her great-grandchildren, Vincenzo, David, Tyler, Lucas, Christian, Casey, Ronald, Brody, Jameson, Paulie, Andraya, Domenick, Milania, Alessia, Carmine, Lilliana, Ronald III, Camila, Luca, Christiano, Lena and Delilah, brought her immense joy and pride.
Her home was a sanctuary, always open to anyone in need of comfort or a good meal. Marie's culinary talents were renowned, and her kitchen was the heart of many gatherings. Beyond her home, she found pleasure in the simple joys of life: watching the stock market with a cup of coffee, bowling, playing mahjong, and the excitement of cruises and the casinos. Her passion for travel took her back to Italy, connecting with her family and creating cherished memories.
Marie was not only a family matriarch but also a pillar in her community, serving as a lifetime member of the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County. In her honor, the family requests that donations be made to this association in her name.
She will be deeply missed by her siblings, Carla (Stuart) Siglain, Angelo (Santa) Damiento, and Louis (Madalaine) Darmiento, and remembered fondly by those who have passed before her, including Frank Jr., Vito, Antoinette, and Baby Vito.
Her life will be celebrated with visitations at James Funeral Home on Thursday from 6-9 PM and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A funeral mass will be held at Maria Regina Church in Seaford, NY, on Saturday at 10:45 AM, followed by entombment at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.
Marie J. Lanzillotta's memory will live on, bringing smiles and warmth to all who were touched by her love and kindness.
