Marie "Nancy" was born in New York, daughter to Giuseppe and Teresa Amuso. Beloved wife of the late Edward Swierkowski. Marie was a devoted mother to the late Edward Swierkowski, survived by his wife Jeanne and son Joseph, married to Connie. Marie was a cherished grandmother to Lisa Swierkowski, Lynn Dinger (Christopher), Nicole Matzelle (JT), and Vincent Swierkowski (Hayleigh Courtney). She also held a special place in her heart for her great-grandchildren, Ryan Dinger, Brianna Dinger, Avery Dinger, Jon Taylor Matzelle, and Cole Swierkowski.
Nancy is survived by her brothers Rudy, Victor, and Dominic Amuso. She was deeply loved by her "sister" Christina Puglisi and Christina’s son Anthony Puglisi, as well as Joseph Colluccio, who was like a son to her.
A dedicated homemaker, Nancy’s life centered around her family. She was well known for her passion for cooking, especially her famous lasagna, and enjoyed sharing meals with loved ones. She cherished every moment spent with her family, from raising her children to caring for her grandchildren. Her warm heart and devotion to her family were the pillars of her life.
In addition to her love for family, Nancy had a deep appreciation for Italian music and was especially fond of Jerry Vale and Tony Bennett. She also enjoyed classic movies, particularly those starring Alice Faye and Robert Taylor, and had a special place in her heart for old movie musicals.
Nancy’s generosity knew no bounds. She believed in giving back and supported various non-profit organizations throughout her life, including the ASPCA and the Catholic Church.
She will be remembered for her boundless love, unwavering faith, and the warmth she brought to all who knew her. The most important things in her life were the people she loved, the time spent together, and the memories created around the dinner table.
