Beloved husband of Lucia. Cherished father of Dominick (Linda) Mancini, Clara (Rodney) Campbell-Cordle and Marie (Robert) Wolanski. Adored grandfather of Michael, Alexandria, and Matthew. Peter Mancini was an amazing person filled with a tremendous amount of love, energy, enthusiasm and passion. He truly loved life so much and was always early and active in everything he did. He always seemed to have a “hop” in his step as if his life was beating to the rhythms of his favorite Italian singer, Claudio Villa.

From his early years in Bari, Italy to his U.S roots in Brooklyn and Long Island, he filled our homes with HUNDREDS of fascinating personal stories filled with laughter, love, emotion and amazement. His singing and storytelling was captivating, his personality - strong, and his smile - infectious.

He had many loves and passions in his life, which he reminisced about frequently, including his children, grandchildren, parents, nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters, friends from everywhere, homemade wine, his luscious garden and landscaping, homes, BUT ultimately his biggest love for over 55 years was his wife, Lucia.

He leaves behind these incredible gifts and many more filled with wonderful memories for all of us to cherish and celebrate over the coming days, weeks, months and years to come. As hard as it is to completely understand, he now rests peacefully in heaven, celebrating his life with joy and laughter, talking about how he loved and was loved by his friends and family, raving about all of his accomplishments in life, while sitting at the head of the table surrounded by his closest relatives and piasians in a place of eternal happiness.

Remembering a brief visit with Dominick. Both Lucia and Pietro welcomed me with warm smiles and open arms. Pietro took me to his backyard to show me his awesome veggie garden. I was in awe of the longest green beans I've ever seen and the way he had them growing. He laughed because I just couldn't believe how long they were. I'm going to try and grow them this year in his memory.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time. In the days to come, may God bring you peace and may the beautiful memories you have all shared with him bring you joy and big smiles . God Bless you all.

Happy first birthday in heaven Uncle Pete. You always loved good Italian music and was famous for "cutting up the rug" with Aunt Lucy at our family parties. May you be dancing up there in heaven with all those who have gone before you. Rest easy Uncle Pete, until we meet again. With Love, Maria

To the Mancini family,
We are very sorry for your loss. Mr. Mancini was so loving and special to all that met him. We were lucky to have gotten to know him over the years and he certainly treated us like family whenever he saw us. He will be missed. God bless all of you at this difficult time.
Love,
Paul and Ann Marie

I have many wonderful memories of Pete but the one that comes to mind is him directing me spreading gravel on his driveway me on a tractor and him with his shovel waving and pointing it to where he wanted the next load.
He will surely be missed.
