

Stanley was born on April 19, 1946 in Brooklyn to the late Walter Skoczylas and Mary Czerw. Loving stepson to Lucy Skoczylas. Raised with strong values of family, dedication, and pride in his heritage, Stanley carried those principles with him throughout his life.
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, demonstrating the same commitment and integrity that would define him in all areas of his life.
Stanley was the beloved father of Lizette Skoczylas and her husband, Marcos M. Beniquez, and the cherished grandfather of Larissa Beniquez. He was a devoted brother to Stephen J. Skoczylas. His love for his family was steadfast and unconditional, and he took great pride in their accomplishments and happiness.
Stanley had a passion for trains, cars, planes, and days spent at the beach. He found great joy in Polish music, which kept him connected to his roots. An exceptional bowler, Stanley spent many happy hours at the lanes, where his skill and competitive spirit earned him admiration and friendships that lasted a lifetime.
He will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, warm heart, and the pride he took in both his family and his interests. Stanley’s presence, stories, and steady guidance will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held at James Funeral Home, 540 Broadway, Massapequa, NY 11758, US, on March 1, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm, and again on March 1, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will take place at Maria Regina Roman Catholic Church, 3945 Jerusalem Ave, Seaford, NY 11783, US, on March 2, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Burial will follow at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, NY 11933, US, on March 2, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
