Anna Louise Roe

Anna Louise Roe, 94, of Maysville, Kentucky died Saturday, January 14, 2017 at her residence. She was the widow of Vernon Roe who died in 1991. Mrs. Roe formerly worked at the January and Wood Company and Modern Laundry and was a member of the Maysville Church of the Nazarene. She was born in Nicholas County, Kentucky on April 13, 1922 the daughter of the late Jesse James Hughes and Hattie Allen Cansas Ingram Hughes. She is survived by her four daughters, Ronna Kaye Howard of Maysville, KY; Verna Ann Martin (Keith) of Berea, KY; Kathy Sue Pigmon (Terry) of Cleveland, OH and Teresa Jane Woods of Aberdeen, OH; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; twelve great-great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Debbie Roe of Atlanta, GA and one brother, Clyde Hughes of Washington, KY. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ernie Lee Roe, six brothers and four sisters. Funeral services for Anna Louise Roe will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 18, 2017 with Pastor Lonnie Blosser officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Fleming County, KY. Pallbearers will be Lee Cooper, Kevin Woods, Vince Hardy, Tyler Zornes, David Latham and Dylan Latham. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Pigmon and Keith Martin. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM and on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
