Cere Myrick, Sr., 84, of Maysville, Kentucky died Friday, March 2, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Myrick was retired from Browning’s Manufacturing Company. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and also the Valley Sportsmen’s Club. Cere was born in Raymond, Mississippi on January 21, 1934 the son of the late Louis and Lena Jackson Myrick. He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Dolores Alexander Myrick; his sons, Cere Myrick, Jr. (Lisa) of Louisville, KY and Sean Myrick (Rebecca) of Maysville, KY; three grandchildren that he raised, Larry Myrick, Raychelle Myrick and Nathan Myrick; twenty-five grandchildren; thirty-five great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Linda Myrick of Maysville, KY and one brother, Percy Myrick of Champaign, IL. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by two sons, Larry Myrick and Robert L. Myrick; one daughter, Doretha Myrick; two brothers, Louis Myrick, Jr. and Napoleon Myrick and one sister, Ruby Hamilton. Funeral services for Cere Myrick will be held at the Bethel Baptist Church at 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 6, 2018 with Rev. Terry Taylor and Rev. Randy Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Green Acres Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roger Gibbs, C. J. Holmes, Cedric Alexander, Raymond Stewart, Gerren Alexander, Brian Devine and Mark Heminger. Visitation will be held at the church Monday, March 5, 2018 from 5 to 8 PM. The arrangements are entrusted to the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home.
