Dorothy Tucker

Dorothy Tucker, 91, of Maysville, Kentucky died Friday, April 15, 2016 at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. She was the widow of John R. Tucker who died in 1992. Mrs. Tucker was a member of the New Hope Christian Church, retired from the Mason County Schools and was a foster grandparent. She was born in Robertson County, Kentucky on August 30, 1924 the daughter of the late Russell and Lula Curtis Shepherd.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Taylor of Georgetown, KY; her son, Jerry R. Tucker of Ruskin, FL; grandchildren Chad Tucker, Stacy Hawkins, Scott Taylor, Jeff Taylor, Bambi Winkle and Amy Mullins, 9 great grandchildren; one brother, Bobby Shepherd of Bracken County.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Stanley Shepherd, Wayne Shepherd and Glenn Shepherd and two sisters, Patsy Shepherd and Ruby Dotson.

Funeral services for Dorothy Tucker will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 11AM on Monday, April 18, 2016 with Rev. Darrell Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricky Shepherd, Robbie Shepherd, David Hargett, Derrick Kirk, Troy Hawkins and Chad Tucker. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM.
