Gertrude Humphries

Maysville – Gertrude Humphries, 85, of Maysville, Kentucky died Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe. Mrs. Humphries was the widow of William Robert Humphries who died July 8, 1992. She was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on January 5, 1932 the daughter of the late William and Nellie Leadingham Holbrook. Survivors include her son, Shawn Humphries of Cold Springs, KY; brothers, William Holbrook of Lake Wood, CA and Ken Holbrook of South Shore, KY; sisters, Evelyn Cullen and Mona Wright both of Greenup, KY and Janet Reese of Middleburg, FL. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Arthur Holbrook and sisters, Letha Tolliver, Ruby Roark and Maxine Saul. Funeral services for Gertrude Humphries will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 3, 2018 with Rev. Keith Sergent officiating. Burial will be in the Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from noon until the hour of the service.
