
Harry Jordan Morrison, 92, of Mason County passed away August 8, 2013 at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville. He was a graduate of Orangeburg High School, a member of the Bethany Christian Church and a long-time employee of McFarland Chevorlet. Mr. Morrison was born in Mason County, Kentucky on January 15, 1921 the son of the late Harley Jordan Morrison and Bessie Hartley Morrison. He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Mattie Reed Morrison; one son, Dewey Applegate (Jan) of Maysville; grandsons, Jeff Frazier (Vanessa) of Morehead, Andy Frazier (Heather) of Florida and Matt Applegate (Kim) of Frankfort; nieces, Phyllis Cooper McMurtrey (David) and Sharon Morrison Rosser (Don) of Maysville, Diana Reed Boone (Don) of OH, Glenda Moran Dunn (Steve) and Linda Moran Florence (Tommy) of FL; nephews, Harley James “Jim” Cooper (Conseulo) of FL, Dwight Keith “Joe” Moran (Melissa) of NC and Steven Brent Reed (Debbie) of western KY. Funeral services for Harry J. Morrison will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 3:00 pm Sunday, August 11, 2013 with Sammy Bevard and Rev. Jack Arrasmith officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Garden of Memories. Pallbearers will be Matt Applegate, Jeff Frazier, Joshua Rosser,Tommy Florence, Charles Lucas and David McMurtrey.
