Helm Poe

Helm L. “Red” Poe, 81, former resident of Maysville died May 24, 2012 at Mountain Crest Nursing Home in Cincinnati. He was born in Mason Co., March 13, 1931 to the late Truman and Sadie Tackett Poe. Mr. Poe bought high grade timber. He was a former member of Harveysburg, OH city council and a member of the U.S. Army Reserves. Mr. Poe is survived by five sons, Steven (Elisa) Poe, Modesto, CA, James Tony (Laurie) Poe, Hebron, Terry Poe, Harveysburg, OH, Mark (Raedawn) Poe, Clarksburg, TN, and Michael Poe of Maysville, three daughters Karen Pugh, Fernleaf, Sandra (Gregory) Faris, Ewing, and Diana (David) French of May’s Lick, 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He is survived by a brother Raymond Poe of Lexington and a sister, Lenore Williams of Florida. Preceding him in death were three brothers, Eugene, William, and Truman Poe, Jr. and three sisters, Letha Graves, Pauline Singleton and Virginia Poe. Memorial service for Helm Poe will be Thursday, May 31, at 3 P.M. at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service.
