

Lowell Thomas Haggard, 81, of Maysville, Kentucky died Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. Mr. Haggard retired from the Carnation Milk Company. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in Germany from October 1959 thru May 1961. Lowell was a 1954 graduate of the May’s Lick High School and he enjoyed spending time with his shortwave equipment and communicating with people all over the United States. He had a great mechanical knowledge and loved working on small motors. He recently was in the process of learning the usage of personal computers. He was born in Maysville, Kentucky on July 22, 1935 the son of the late Malcolm and Blanche Wallingford Haggard. He is survived by his wife, Linda Crawford Haggard; brothers, Kenneth Haggard (Polly) and James Haggard ( Linda) and sister, Anna Werline (Elsworth) all of Maysville, KY; brother and sister-in-laws, Velma Riickert (Freddy) of Cynthiana, KY, Juanita Hilander of Morehead, KY, Naomi Hornback (Charles) of Maysville, KY; nephews, Brian Haggard, Steve Haggard, Greg Haggard, Kenny Ray Haggard, Jeffery Haggard, David Haggard, Richard Haggard, Rodney Hornback, John Hilander and Brent Earles; nieces, Laura Plank, Lori Donegan, Leeanna Crosby, Rhonda Teegarden, Patricia Irey, Stephanie Redd and Debbie Barker; great nieces and nephews, Gracie Earles, Connor Earles, Shayla Hornback, Cheyenne Hornback, Alicia Teegarden, Madison Teegarden, Randy Irey, Nicky Irey, Brycen Barker, Aris Redd, Stacy Hilander and Abigail Hilander. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Chester Haggard and Robert Haggard; brother and sister-in-laws, Donald and Wanda Hicks and Gail Hilander. Funeral services for Lowell Haggard will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Thursday, June 29, 2017 with Rev. Jerry Beck officiating. Burial will be in the Washington Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Haggard, Donnie Stacy, Wayne Mason, Rodney Hornback, Charles Hornback and Dickie Bailey. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
