
Mrs. Naomi Ilona Williams, 90, of Maysville, Kentucky entered into her eternal rest on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 8:15 PM. Mrs. Williams had suffered from an extended illness and was residing at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. Mrs. Williams was a cancer survivor of nearly thirty-three years. She was the mother of John W. Williams who was the first black policeman in Maysville, Kentucky. Mrs. Williams was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Lewisburg and the Order of the Eastern Star, Kenton # 16 Covington. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Henry and Sabra Elizabeth Bivins Kiles. She is survived by seven children, Kenneth R. (Donna C.) Williams, Maysville, Charles Samuel (Barbara) Williams, Enterprise, AL, Thomas A. (Mary) Williams, Cornelius, NC, and four daughters, Mary K. (Keith) Branch, Indianapolis, IN, Linda S. (Barry) Fellner, Columbus, OH, Anna L. (Clifton) Dixon, Indianapolis, IN, and Sabra R. (John) Johnson, Indianapolis, IN, ten grandchildren and her sister-in-law, Brenda K. Williams. Preceding her in death were four sons, John W., Albert, Ronald, and David Williams. Services for Mrs. Naomi Williams will be Saturday, April 21 at 1 P.M. at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Taylor and Rev. Charles Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the May’s Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, April 20 from 5 til 8 P.M. at the church. Final arrangements have been entrusted to the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home of Maysville, KY.
