Norma Ruth Beckett

Norma Ruth Beckett, 84, of Maysville, Kentucky died Monday, January 2, 2017 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She was the widow of David Howard Beckett who died October 18, 1977. Mrs. Beckett formerly worked for the Maysville Country Club. She was born in Ripley County, Indiana on March 23, 1932 the daughter of the late John and Etta Belle Fisk. Survivors include her two sons, David Michael Beckett (Jenny Lou) of Flemingsburg, KY and Danny Mark Beckett of Maysville, KY; three daughters, Debra Lynn Kearns (David) of Aberdeen, OH, Denise Lori Stanfield (Brett) of Tollesboro, KY and Diana Leslie Werline of Maysville, KY; eight grandchildren, Stephanie Lynn Kearns, Christopher David Beckett, Sarah Leigh-Anne Kearns, Natassia Renee Stanfield, Cayla Dawn Beckett Apgar, Lindsey Shae Werline Landsaw, Dustin Brett Stanfield and Lariah Sharelle Werline Mack; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Fisk (Carolyn) and John Fisk, Jr. both of Versailles, IN; six sisters, Emma Mullins of Independence, KY, Goldie Cummings of Amarillo, TX, Helen Crowder (Dewey) of New Richmond, OH, Dora Jones (Charles) of Verona, KY, Rose Mobley (Lawrence) and Delores Adams both of Batesville, IN; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, David Thomas Beckett and Jeremy Charles Beckett, two brothers, Lloyd Fisk and Arthur Fisk and one sister, Doris Fisk. Funeral services for Norma Ruth Beckett will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Friday, January 6, 2017 with Rev. Phil Cropper officiating. Burial will be in the Washington Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Christopher Beckett, David Kearns, Clay Landsaw, Brett Stanfield, Danny Beckett and Larkin Mullins. Honorary pallbearers will be Dalton Glenn Kearns with an honorable mention of the late Jeremy Charles Beckett. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
