

He was born on December 20, 1933 in Mason County to the late Omar Morgan and Audrey Allison Moran.
He graduated from Orangeburg High School in 1952 and attended Asbury College. He was a journeyman sprinkler fitter for 32 years and a member of Local Union 669, United Association for 60 years. He was a member of Seddon United Methodist Church. Following retirement, Eddie and his wife, Gayle enjoyed traveling the United States for more than 20 years to visit family and friends. They were excited to take annual trips with their grandchildren for several years. He also loved gatherings to celebrate family reunions, holidays, and birthdays.
He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Gayle Applegate Moran. He is survived by 3 children, William Edward (Jeannette) Moran of Fleming County; Gale (Tom) Michaelides of Delaware, Ohio; and Robin (Rodney) Brehmer of Minot, North Dakota.
Eight grandchildren also survive. Amanda Moreland of Lewis Center, Ohio; Jaime Carter of Thornville, Ohio; Thomas Moreland, of Lexington; Alisha (Brad) Gray of Fleming County; Edward Moran of Hillsboro; Bethanie Newsom of Flemingsburg; Kristin (Jason) DuPaul of Bismarck, North Dakota; and Nathan Brehmer of Greeley, Colorado.
Completing the family are 18 great-grandchildren: Connor and Holden Sensabaugh, Evan Parrott, Cameron and Blake Moreland, Mallory Floyd, Alayna Carter, Dalton and Emily Gray, Gavin, Colby, Levi, and Logan Moran, Sydney Duncan, Gracey Newsom, and Penelope, Liam, and Gemma DuPaul.
He is also survived by two sisters, Glenda (Guy) Smith of Aberdeen, and Debbie (John) Stivers of Beavercreek, Ohio. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant great-grand daughter, Lauren Audrey Parrott, and grand daughter-in-law, Jessica Moran.
Services for Eddie Moran will be held at the Seddon United Methodist Church at 1:00 PM Friday, December 29, 2017 with Rev. Mason Harrod, Rev. Jermey Ruegg and Rev. Keith Sergent officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery. Serving as pall bearers will be Thomas Moreland, Edward Moran, Nathan Brehmer, Brad Gray, Dalton Gray, and Gavin Moran.
Honorary pall bearers are Tom Michaelides, Rodney Brehmer, Guy Smith, John Stivers, Colby Moran, Logan Moran, Levi Moran, Evan Parrott, Connor Sensabaugh, Holden Sensaubaugh, and Dr. Craig Denham.
Visitation will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 5 PM to 7 PM.
