

Ralph Hartman Sloop, 83, of Manchester, Ohio died Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at The Care Center at Kenton Pointe. Mr. Sloop retired from the Carnation Can Company. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the US Army and was a member of the Ebenezer Meeting House, the Disabled American Vetereans, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. Ralph was born in Mason County, Kentucky on July 5, 1932 the son of the late Forrest and Merna DeBell Sloop. He is survived by his wife, Rose Kielman Sloop; his daughters, Janet Sloop of Washington, KY and Jeanett Harney (Michael) of Erlanger, KY; grandchildren, Gregory Dotson, Jr. (Devonna), Lee Dotson (Jennifer), Brittany Harney and Luke Harney; five great grandchildren, Cooper, Campbell, Lindsey, Raylee and Karsyn Dotson and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters. Funeral services for Ralph Sloop will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Saturday, July 18, 2015 with Pastor Ken Harmon officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Garden of Memories. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
