Robert Wayne Sweet

Robert Wayne Sweet, 74, of Maysville died July 12, 2013 at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe. Mr. Sweet formerly worked for Pepsi Cola, Brown’s Restaurant, January and Wood Company and Bilo Service Station and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. He was born August 1, 1938 the son of the late Harold Sweet and Nettie Ackley Eubanks. He is survived by his wife, Joann Lawson Sweet; five sons, Troy Sweet (Rachael) of Germantown, KY, Eric Lawson (Karen) of Vanceburg, KY, Jason Lawson (Hannah), Corey Burriss and Bailey Sweet all of Maysville; nine daughters, Sheryl Yockey and Debbie Jolley (Jim) both of Aberdeen, OH, Vicki Lynn Gatrell of Ripley, OH, Jessica Lawson (Randy), Samantha Burriss (Jim Bob), Ashely Burriss (Joe), Brittany Burriss, Amber Burris (Johnathan) and Makayla Sweet, all of Maysville, KY; thirty-four grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; one brother, Woody Sweet (Sharon) and two sisters, Bonnie Carpenter (Tom) and Betty Saunders all of Maysville, KY. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Sweet and three brothers, Doug Sweet, Hershel T. “Cotton” Sweet and Albert Pugh. Funeral services for Wayne Sweet will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Monday, July 15, 2013 with Rev. Scott Vonlanken officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 11 AM until the hour of the service.
