Sam Earlywine, 85, of Maysville, Kentucky died October 30, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Earlywine was a member of the Maysville Church of the Nazerene and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the US Army. Mr. Earlywine retired from EPT Browning Manufacturing after forty years of service and was an employee of McFarland Chevrolet. He was born in Fleming County, Kentucky on August 5, 1928 the son of the late Ernest and Della Tackett Earlywine. He is survived by his wife, Loella Bridges Earlywine; two daughters, Charlotte Doyle and Sharon Fossitt (John) both of Maysville, KY; four grandchildren, Julie Scheek, April Osborne (Scott), Nathan Fossitt (Nicki) and Chad Johnson; eight great grandchildren, Clay Fossitt, Carson Fossitt, Kayla Lykins, Kyler Johnson, Camden Johnson, Justis Johnson, Conner Osborne and Morgan Osborne; one great-great grandson, Wyatt Lykins; one brother, Delbert Earlywine of Indianapolis, IN and seven sisters, Norma Jean Schultz and Christine Knopp both of Indianapolis, IN, Lillian Davis, Edith Kearns, Millie Doyle, Shirley Vice and Sue Lee all of Flemingsburg, KY. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Wilson Earlywine. Funeral services for Sam Earlywine will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Sunday, November 3, 2013 with Rev. David Eldridge pastor of the New Creation Church officiating. Burial will be in the Green Acres Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Fossitt, Nathan Fossitt, Chad Johnson, Connor Osborne, Scott Osborne and Euell Vice. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 5 to 8 PM.
