Sue Mary Thackston

Sue Mary Thackston, 88, of Maysville, Kentucky died Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. She was the widow of Henry Paul Thackston. Mrs. Thackston was born in Bracken County, Kentucky on January 5, 1930, the daughter of the late Aussie and Rebecca Fulton Rigg. She is a member of the Washington United Methodist Church. Sue is survived by her daughter and her son-in-law, Brenda and Fred Applegate of Xenia, OH; her grandson, Brian Applegate (Yana) of Carmel, IN; two great grandchildren, Genia and Alexander Applegate and her sister, Fay Orth of Portsmouth, OH. Besides her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Elmer Rigg, Billy Rigg, Avalou Holford, Louise King, Rosie Wills and Jenny Rohr. Funeral services for Sue Thackston will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 25, 2018 with Rev. Jack Arrasmith officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from noon until the hour of the service.
