Vernon Montae Boyd

Vernon Montae Boyd, 32, of Maysville, Kentucky died Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the UC Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was employed at Arby’s in Maysville. Mr. Boyd was born in Maysville, Kentucky on June 19, 1983 the son of John L. and Mary Kathaleen Fletcher Boyd. Besides his parents, he is survived by his two children, Cordell Montae Boyd and Somayah Allyn Boyd both of Maysville, KY; a special friend, Sheri Bickel of Maysville, KY; his brother, John L. Boyd, Jr. of Lexington, KY; two sisters, Melissa K. Boyd of Maysville and Latisha Renae Boyd of Lexington, KY; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends. Funeral services for Vernon Boyd will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 7, 2016 with Pastor Debbie Horn and Pastor Frank Burns officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 PM until the hour of the service. Mr. Boyd will be cremated following the services with a private burial in the May’s Lick Cemetery at a later date.
