William Bucky Alfred Greene Jr.

William A. Greene, Jr. “Bucky” passed on Thursday January 4, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. Mr. Greene was born in Maysville, Kentucky on March 5, 1955 the son of the late William and Katie Commodore Greene. Bucky graduated from Maysville High School in 1974. During his high school years, he was very active with basketball and other sports and activities. He played basketball during his Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior years; football his Senior year; Hi-Y his Sophomore, Junior and Senior years; was the Most Improved Player his Junior Year and Mr. Defense his Junior Year. At the time of his death, he was the owner of Greene’s Tree Trimming Services.

William is survived by his six children, William Tolliver Steward (Kasi), Myron Antonio Greene, Ryan Christopher Greene, William Christopher Greene, Sharyl Ruth Alred and Tamiyah Jae Lynn Moran; six grandchildren, Gaven Steward, Joclin Steward, MaKyla Steward, Analeigha Alred, Yasmin Simone Alred and Inaya Amani Alred. He is also survived by his sister, Beatrice (Pete) and his brother Donald Greene and a host of nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Hattie Greene and his daughter, Ecstasy L. Hamm.

Bucky will be missed with his big personality and don’t forget he was an excellent cook. Funeral services for William “Bucky” Greene, Jr. will be held at the Scott United Methodist Church at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 13, 2018 with Rev’s Claude Commodore, Mark Turner and Randy Taylor officiating. The interment will be held privately in the Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
