Dolf was born in Locust Grove, GA to the late Adolphus D. Garland Sr. and Emily Ezma Thomas Garland. He worked at Southern States in Hampton, GA for 59 years. He had a love of the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He was known for being soft spoken, to the point and “letting” you know “how” to do things the right way, (his way). He will always be remembered as Uncle Dolf.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Gossett Garland; sisters Sue Phillips, Belle Martin, Lucy Bob Lunsford, and Emma Dale Garland; brothers William Garland, John Garland, Emmett Garland, and Frank Garland.
Uncle Dolf is survived by a family of nieces and nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends. All of them have so many fond memories and stories that could be told for days.
A Celebration of Life will be held at his residence, 646 Garland Road, Locust Grove, GA on May 30, 2026 at 3:00 PM.
