Amparo Ester Miranda

Amparo Ester Miranda was born in Barranquilla, Colombia on November 30th, 1936. In 1968, she came to the United States with a work visa. She lived in New York before eventually moving to New Jersey. During this time, she started her career at Ford Motor Company as an assembly worker. In 1986, she moved to Georgia, and in 2003, she retired from Ford Motor Company. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 16th, 2025 at Jonesboro Assisted Living Center. She is survived by her six children, Roberto, Licy, Delsy, Elena, Lisbeth and Caridad, her sixteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was an avid donor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the ASPCA. Some of her favorite activities included shopping, eating, watching action movies and being with her family.

She will be missed.

A Funeral Mass will be held on January 10th, 2026 at 10:00 am at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church followed by a Funeral Luncheon to celebrate her life.

Amparo Ester Miranda nació en Barranquilla, Colombia el 30 de noviembre del 1936. En 1968, ella vino a los Estados Unidos con una visa de trabajo y vivió en Nueva York, eventualmente ella se mudo a Nueva Jersey. Se llevará a cabo una misa funeral el 10 de enero del 2026 a las 10:00 a. m. en la Iglesia Católica St. Philip Benizi, seguida de un almuerzo funeral después de la misa para celebrar su vida.
