Andrew "Buddy" W. Walker Jr.

Mr. Andrew W. "Buddy" Walker, age 91, of McDonough, Georgia, passed away February 23, 2022. Mr. Walker was born in McDonough, the son of the late Andrew W. Walker, Sr. and Alice B. Carmichael Walker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Chafin Walker; sisters, Georgia Harris and Kathryn Yeomans; granddaughter, Carmen Bass. Mr. Walker was a member of the First Baptist Church of McDonough since early childhood. Upon his father's death in 1958 he owned and operated the family furniture business, A. W. Walker and Son, until his retirement. He enjoyed his jigsaw puzzles, the camaraderie of The Breakfast Club at Millers Store, and people watching. He is survived by his sister, Willene Stewart; children, Joan and Dickie Bass, Pam and Sam Johnson, and Andy and Julie Walker; 6 grandchildren and 10 precious great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022 - 1:00 pm at Kelley Presbyterian Church. The service is open to all friends and family.
