Ann Ellen Newman

In loving memory of Ann Ellen Newman who passed away on September 27, 2026 at the age of 82 after a four-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born on November 13, 1943 in Brantley, AL, to the late James and Vera Williamson. She was the devoted wife of Jack Newman for 63 years, the loving mother of Jeff (Mike) Newman, Jill (Paul) Vaughn, and Jennifer (Clint) Campbell, the proud grandmother to 13 grandkids; Virginia Newman, Jack Newman, Elisabeth Newman, Will Vaughn, Grace Vaughn, Audrey Vaughn, Sydney Moore, Chris (Kathryn) Moore, Samantha Cyrus, Carly Campbell, Micah Campbell, Parker Campbell, and Alexis Taylor, and one great grandchild; Eli Lee-Moore, the loyal sister to Peggy (Don) Cunningham, and the cherished family member to many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Being a mother and grandmother was one of the most important parts of Ann’s life that gave her much pride and joy. She was always there for her family, often babysitting or making a meal for her loved ones to gather together where much laughter and happiness was found. Her hugs, snuggles, and gentleness will be fondly remembered and missed so much.

She was a kind, caring, and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a source of inspiration to us all and will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
