Anne Simmons Griffith

On Sunday, September 12, 2021 Anne Simmons Griffith, age 73, of McDonough, Georgia received her Heavenly reward when her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ escorted her home and reunited her with her parents Johnny and Polly Simmons and son Chris Jones.

Anne will be remembered as someone you could always count on. Whether she was telling stories until the early morning hours or listening to yours, she would always go out of her way to make time for others and support them and make them feel special.

Anne loved to read, which probably explains how she became a world class Scrabble player. She enjoyed time in the mountains, Gospel singing, taffy, old TV shows like I Love Lucy. She also dearly loved Andy Griffith (her dog not the show).

Many will also remember Anne's humor. If she couldn't think of the name of place she would simply make one up, and advised that you could say almost anything as long as you qualified it with a "bless their heart!"

Anne was a loving lady who will be missed by many but none more than husband Johnny, children Angie (Bill) Lorette, Kelli (Brent) Moody, Julie (Robbie) Branham, Joel Griffith and daughter-in-law Desiree Jones.

Anne is also survived by her treasured grandchildren Danielle (Steven), Zach, Logan, Luke, Chloe, Olivia, Gabriel, Micah, Pam, Kelly, Sidney, Courtney and great grandchildren Hazel and Claire.

Anne's family would like to invite her friends to share in celebrating her life, especially those members of the Good News Club, The Hope sewing ministry and her dear friends from Sunday school.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday September 21, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Haisten Funeral Home with a Memorial Services to be held on Thursday September 23, 2021 at Henry Baptist Church at 2:00 PM
