Mrs. Annie Laurie Floyd, age 90 of McDonough, Georgia passed away March 23, 2019. She was born in McDonough, Georgia to the late Lawson G. and Annie Kate Turner Brannan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Lamar Floyd and her brothers, T. William Brannan, Wyman E. Brannan and Calvin L. Brannan. From a young age she devoted herself to caring for others, nurturing several generations from infancy and childhood. She always had a child in her care and a pan of biscuits in the oven. Her merry laughter always followed jokes, even those retold 100 times. She was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church where she served for many years testifying to the faithfulness and love of God. Survivors include her sons, Danny (Carrye) Floyd and Joe Floyd; grandchildren, Jodi Waugh, Erin (Tim) Dean, Katie Floyd and Lindsay Blanchard; great grandchildren, Ashley, Tatumn, Hayden, Luke and Chloe; sister, Betty Jo Fort; numerous nieces, nephews and greats. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 28, 2019 – 2:00 PM in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Matt Allison will officiate. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
