Barbara Ann Hiett

Holidays were always her favorite times as they were times for family to come together. Christmas was one of her most loved holidays since it combined family with celebrating the birth of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Barbara lived her life walking and loving as Christ. She loved, and was loved, by all who knew her and her door was always open and table always set to any who came along.

Barbara's life was full of love and her heart beat in tandem with that of her high school sweetheart and husband of 63 years, Lanny "Rex" Hiett Sr. Together they would raise a family of their own that Barbara would love and protect with the fierceness of a mother lion.

In addition to her husband Rex, Barbara is survived by her children Kay (Jay) Hiett Embrey, Lanny (Sherry) Hiett Jr, Stacy (Angie) Hiett, Barry (Cheryl) Hiett and Tony (Kelly) Hiett. Barbara's memory will also live on through her 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, brothers Larry (Peggy) Scoggins and Perry Scoggins, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family friends and her beloved Glen Haven Baptist Church family.

The world has lost a beautiful spirit but Heaven has gained a priceless Angel. Rest in peace, we will see you soon in our Father's house.
