Barbara Jordan

Barbara Jordan, age 89 passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022. The reunion in Heaven was attended by her parents, 3 brothers, a sister, son-in-law James Freeman, daughters Kathy Cantrell and Janice Hancock and her beloved husband of 62 years Bill Jordan.

Barbara loved the outdoors. She enjoyed fishing, camping trips and she always shared a vegetable garden with Bill.

Mrs. Jordan was always a straight shooter and would tell you exactly how she feels but also had the wonderful ability to be funny without even trying.

Barbara loved spending time with her friends in her senior exercise class but never wanted to miss an episode of "The 5" on Fox News.

The example set by Barbara lives on through her daughters Dee (James) Jameson and Judy Freeman,

while her legacy will certainly continue through her grandchildren Billy (Yumiko), Heather (Shane), Doug (Brenda), Chris (Fallon), Jason (Karen), Patrick (Kim) and Jeff (Marie) as well as her 18 great grandchildren and Lily, her first great great granddaughter.

The life of Mrs. Barbara Jordan will be remembered and celebrated on Wednesday April 27, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Mt Bethel United Methodist Church ( 992 Mt Bethel Rd, McDonough, GA 30252 ). Her family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Mt Bethel UMC Cemetery Fund or to the Alzheimer's Association.
