Born on February 11, 1938, in Rockmart, Georgia, to Henry and Vinie Burnley, Barbara lived a life filled with love, devotion, and cherished memories. On May 21, 1960, she married the love of her life, Jack Moore. Together, they shared a beautiful journey, building a life and family rooted in love.
Barbara was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a Gorgeous Granny to her grandchildren. Their greatest blessing was their six children: Mike (children: Michelle, Michael, Christina, Kelly, David, and Mike); David; Gail (Kevin) (children: Allen [Amy] and Christa [Jake]); Jack (Jennifer) (children: Chris, Elizabeth [Will], and Jack); Scott (Denise) (children: Zachary [Candace] and Tyler [Charlotte]; great-grandchildren: Cayden and Skylin); and Jackie Ann (children: Brandon [Ashlei], Bobby, Madilynn, and Ricky).
Her family continues to grow, with 43 grand and great-children.
She had a beautiful spirit and a heart full of love. Whether she was singing, dancing, sewing, painting, or simply spending precious time with her family, Barbara found joy in the little things that made life so special.
Her love, warmth, and steadfast presence as the heart and matriarch of her family touched countless lives and will forever be cherished by all who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she gave and the memories she created will forever live on in the hearts of her family and all those blessed to know her.
Visitation will be held at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, GA 30253, on November 3, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A Celebration of Life will follow in the Haisten chapel at 11:00 am. The Committal Service will take place at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, 722 Conley Rd, Forest Park, GA 30297, after services.
