Bertie Mae Mundy passed on July 7, 2026, at the age of 93, at her home. She was born in Walhalla, SC on January 22, 1933 to the late Sam and Ella Fair Smith. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Charles Mundy, son in law Ollen Mosley, and six siblings.
Bertie is survived by her daughters Barbara (Tim) Norrod, Rhonda Mosley, and Sharon Kimbell; grandchildren John (Amy) Norrod, Justin (Alicia) Norrod, and Ryan Kimbell; great grandchildren Alan Carroll, Ava Norrod, Carly Norrod, and Bryce Norrod; sister in laws Peggy Adamson and Patsy Mundy; numerous nieces and nephews; and her caregiver Penny Cole.
Bertie was a seamstress for over 20 years. She loved crafting, reading, and gardening. She had several collections over the years but the most noteworthy would be her M&M's. Bertie loved her family and will be greatly missed.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, 2:00 PM at Eastlawn Memorial Park, 640 McGarity Rd, McDonough, GA 30252.
