Betty J. Lestage, 79, passed away after a brief illness on October 10, 2021, at WellStar Hospital. She was born October 25, 1941 in New Bedford, Massachusetts, the oldest daughter of Everette Woodrow and Emma (Taylor) Wilson. She graduated from New Bedford Vocational High School, class of 1960. She was the widow of Norman F. Lestage, also from New Bedford, Massachusetts. They were high school sweethearts and were married 60 years in January 2021. She is survived by her brother, Robert A. Wilson and his wife Cindy of Cape Cod, daughters, Linda J. Lestage of Jonesboro, GA, Cynthia J. Lestage of Jonesboro, GA and Michelle L. Lestage of Forest Park, GA. Also, four grandchildren: Tasha Bell and her husband Stephen Bell of Marietta, GA, Seth Lestage and his wife Janet of Oak Ridge, TN, Alonzo Lestage of Hampton, GA and Thomas Longcoy of Forest Park, GA. We will have a small graveside service at 2:00pm on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Eastlawn Memorial Park in McDonough, GA.
